Ecology and sustainable development are highlighted in Morocco :

The first African  festival on ecology and sustainable development will stand by around Marrakesh  from May  29th  to June 2nd  2008.

Casablanca  XXX the Moroccan association « for a green Morocco » announces the holding of the fist African festival on ecology and sustainable development from May 29th to June 2nd  2008.
An extraordinary event under the theme « Let ’s revisit our planet » which has chosen an exceptional natural site  about thirty kilometers from Marrakesh on the foot of the High Atlas Mountain .
  
A festival of several stakes :

The festival’s missions? Firstly, to participate in arousing consciousness on environment issues and ecological emergencies which are now facing Morocco in particular, and the whole planet in general.
The festival will also lay the first stone in creating an African and international professional platform for associations and main actors in the environment intended to encourage sharing knowledge and actions synergies.
Finally, it should be an occasion to highlight the major companies and national initiatives enrolled in the process of ecology and sustainable development; and thereby to foster responsible business practices in Morocco.
In sum total, the African festival on ecology and sustainable development raises a challenge of a first edition and all those involved in a global issue widely publicized and institutionalized however, whose results are still below targets.

More than a festival, a true ecological village!

During the first three days of the festival, the participants will be invited to attend several conferences on the major issues of ecology ( saving water, desertification, deforestation  global warming…) held by Moroccan and international experts participating in workshops and visiting the association stands presented in the ecological.
The participants can also visit the dome’s exhibitions ,hosting exhibitions about new technologies in sustainable development , and discovered stands enabling the participants to share their environmental actions.

The ecological village combines what is worthy with what is enjoyable…

The last two days of the events will spotlight  music with the holding of concerts on the main stage with the graceful collaboration of renowned Moroccan artists engaged in environmental matters.
Besides music, cinema will be also present with the screening of documentaries related to environment.
Made new all the speakers and participants of the festival will be housed in nature, on a specially fitted out bivouac area on the site. Companies can move their crew for team-building actions in line with their environmental policy.

The ecological village, absolutely ecological!

In order to be in a great agreement with the principles it would promote, the festival « Let’s revisit our planet » should observe a strict ecological logistics ( waste collecting and recycling , sale banning of plastics in the site , using hybrid energy, water recycling , etc )
